Learn the correct procedures and protocols for DOT oral fluid specimen collection.
This course provides the required qualification training for individuals seeking to become Department of Transportation (DOT) Oral Fluid Collectors. Students will learn the correct procedures and protocols for DOT oral fluid collection, including (but not limited to) chain of custody, collection site preparation, insufficient or adulterated specimen procedures, and error-free documentation.
While this training meets DOT qualification requirements, completing it is only the first step. To become fully qualified, students must also complete proficiency testing consisting of 5 error-free mock collections within 30 days. This must be observed and approved by a qualified instructor.
Proficiency testing is not included in this course and must be arranged through your employer or training provider. If you’re unable to arrange proficiency testing within the required 30-day period, please contact us at training@surehire.com. We’ll help you explore your options.
