Description

This course provides the required qualification training for individuals seeking to become a Department of Transportation (DOT) Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT). Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of breath alcohol testing procedures in accordance with DOT regulations. The course covers breath analysis principles, the operation and calibration of Evidentiary Breath Testing (EBT) devices, and the proper protocols for collecting and recording breath samples. Students will also explore the structure and requirements of the DOT workplace testing program. 

While this training meets DOT qualification requirements, completing it is only the first step. To become fully qualified, students must also complete an error-free proficiency test within 30 days, observed by a qualified instructor.

Proficiency testing is not included in this course and must be arranged through your employer or a training provider. If you’re unable to arrange proficiency testing within the required 30-day period, please contact us at training@surehire.com. We’ll help you explore your options.
